Once you enroll in a course on an Academy LMS site, everything you need is in your student dashboard: the courses you’re taking, your progress, and the lessons themselves. This guide walks you through finding your enrolled courses and completing lessons.
Step 1: Sign in and open your dashboard
Sign in from the site’s menu bar, then go to your Dashboard. Your dashboard shows how many courses you’re enrolled in, how many you’ve completed, and a “Continue learning” card for picking up where you left off.
Step 2: Find your enrolled courses
From the sidebar, click Enrolled Courses. This page has three tabs: Enrolled Courses (everything you’re enrolled in), Active Courses (courses you’ve started but not finished), and Complete Courses (courses you’ve finished). Each course card shows your total topics, how many you’ve completed, and a progress bar.
Click Start Course on a card to open it, or View Details to see the course description first.
Step 3: Complete a lesson
Inside a course, the curriculum is listed on the left and the current lesson opens on the right. At the bottom of each lesson, you’ll see Previous, Mark as Complete, and Next.
Click Mark as Complete when you’re done with a lesson. The button changes to Completed, your progress percentage updates, and a checkbox next to the lesson in the sidebar list gets ticked.
Note: For video lessons, a site admin can set a minimum amount of the video you must watch first. If that’s turned on, the lesson can complete automatically once you’ve watched enough, you won’t need to click anything. If no such requirement is set, clicking Mark as Complete always works, even for video lessons.
Video lessons
Video lessons play in the same layout, with the video player where the lesson content would be, standard playback controls, and the same Previous / Mark as Complete / Next bar below it once you’re done watching (or once it auto-completes, depending on how the site is configured).
Use the same steps for every lesson in a course. Once every lesson, quiz and assignment in a course is complete, the course itself moves from Active to Complete on your Enrolled Courses page.
