GemCRM is a customer relationship management plugin that can automatically import your Academy LMS students as contacts, so you can add them to email lists, tag them and manage them alongside the rest of your customers.
Note: This setup lives inside GemCRM’s own settings, not on Academy’s Add-ons page. Academy’s Add-ons page only shows a GemCRM discovery card that links out. The integration requires GemCRM Pro; on GemCRM Free, the Academy LMS option does not appear in the Integration list.
Step 1: Open the Academy LMS integration
Go to GemCRM → Settings → Integration. Under LMS Integrations, select Academy LMS. You will see two controls:
Step 2: Turn on student sync
Turn on Enable Academy LMS Auto Sync for Students. Two more fields appear:
Click Save Setting once you’re happy with the lists, tags and status.
Who gets synced, and when
GemCRM treats a WordPress user as an Academy student if they hold the Academy Student role. Sync is not instant: GemCRM runs a background job roughly every hour that syncs every enabled integration (Academy included) in one pass, so a newly enrolled student may take up to an hour to appear as a GemCRM contact.
