The Student Registration shortcode ([academy_student_registration_form]) renders a self-serve sign-up form that lets a site visitor create a student account, without going through the WordPress default registration screen. It is a classic (non-block) shortcode, so it can be added by pasting the raw shortcode text into any page or post.
How to access
[academy_student_registration_form].
Log out (or open the page in a private window) before checking the result — the shortcode renders differently for a visitor who is already logged in, as described below.
Field breakdown
For a logged-out visitor, the shortcode renders a registration form with these fields:
On the free version of the plugin, the form fields are limited to email, password, and confirm password. Academy Pro extends this form with additional profile fields via its own field configuration.
Behavior by visitor state
This is controlled by AcademyRegistration::student_registration_form() in includes/shortcode/academy-registration.php, which checks is_user_logged_in() (filterable via the academy/shortcode/student_registration_form_is_user_logged_in hook) and swaps between the shortcode/student.php template and the shortcode/logged-in-student.php template accordingly.
