Prerequisites make students finish other courses before they can take a new one. For example, students must complete a beginner course before they start the advanced one. Course Prerequisites is a Pro add-on.
Note: Turn on the Course Prerequisites add-on first in Academy LMS → Add-ons.
Add prerequisites to a course
Open the course that needs a prerequisite and go to the Settings step. Open the Prerequisite tab (1).
Pick a Prerequisite Type (2):
Then choose the courses in Course Prerequisite, or the categories in Course Categories (3). You can pick more than one. Click Update to save the course.
What students see
On the course page, students who have not finished the prerequisites see a note: “You must complete the following courses before you can enroll in this course.” Below it is a link to each course they need to complete. The enroll button appears once they have finished them.
