Manually Import Demo Content #
Demo content is always imported automatically, sometimes it didn’t work for server timeout issues. But, you can easily fix it manually. To manually import demo content into your Academy Starter Template, follow these refined steps for a smoother process:
- Download the Academy Starter Templates Plugin: Begin by visiting WordPress.org and downloading the Academy Starter Templates Plugin file.
2. Unzip the Downloaded File: After downloading, unzip the file. Navigate to the academy-starter-templates > demo-data
directory. Within this folder, locate the XML file intended for demo content importation. It’s advisable to attach this demo XML file in the documentation for user convenience.
3. Accessing the WordPress Dashboard: Log into your WordPress dashboard and select the Tools
> Import

Prerequisites #
Before we begin, make sure you have the Academy LMS and Academy Starter Templates plugins installed and activated. We are referring you to this documentation to learn how to import templates from Academy Starter templates.
Customizing the Header Section: Logo #
To customize the header sections Logo, click on “Appearance“, then “Header and Footer Builder” in your WordPress dashboard.
From here, to change your logo, click Edit with Elementor from beside Header.
Now, by clicking on the Academy LMS logo option, you will find an option where you can choose your logo to upload.
After uploading your logo, you can customize it as per your need from style and Advanced section.
Customizing the Homepage And Other Pages #
To customize the Hhomepage, find the MarketPlace page in the Pages section and then click on “Edit with Elementor.“
This will open up Elementor, a popular page builder plugin, where you can make changes to the homepage.
Customize the sections, add or remove content, and style them according to your preferences.
In the same way, with Edit with Elementor, you can add or remove any content you want from any page that you have and has been created with Academy Starter Templates.
Customizing The Footer #
To customize the Footer sections, click on “Appearance,” then “Header and Footer Builder,” then click on Edit with Elementor beside the Footer option.
Now the footer that was created with the Academy Starter template is what you will find. From here, you can edit, remove, or replace anything regarding your preference.
Add Or Remove Menus #
In WordPress, you can add or remove menus from the dashboard using the following steps:
From the left sidebar, find and click on “Appearance.” This will expand the menu. From there, click on “Menus“.
Add Menus #
On the left side of the menu screen, you’ll see a list of menu items (pages, posts, custom links, etc.). Check the items you want to add to your menu and click the “Add to Menu” button.
Drag and drop the menu items to arrange them in the desired order.
Remove Menus #
If you have multiple menus, choose the one you want to remove. Expand the menu item, and you’ll see a “Remove” link. Click this link to remove the item from the menu.
Click Save Menu at the end after adding, removing, or replacing any menu.
