The Academy LMS Course Grid Block is a powerful Gutenberg block designed to showcase your courses attractively.
This block is powered by the aBlocks plugin, which is built by the same developers behind Academy LMS. To use this block, ensure the aBlocks plugin is installed and activated on your site.
Adding the Course Grid Block #
Create or Edit a Page: Open the page where you want to add the course grid.
Insert the Block: Click the Plus (+) button, search for “Academy Courses”, and insert the aBlocks Course Grid Block.
Default View: Once added, the block will display some of your courses based on default settings.
Customizing the Course Grid Block #
The Course Grid Block offers various customization options to tailor the display of your courses. Let’s explore them one by one:
1. Layout Settings #
Course Columns:
- Set the number of columns for your course grid. The default is 4 columns, but you can adjust this to fit your layout needs.
Show Pagination:
- Enable or disable pagination for your course grid. This is useful if you have many courses and want to split them across multiple pages.
2. Course Query Settings: #
Customize which courses are displayed in the grid:
- Courses Per Page: Set the number of courses to display per page (default is 3).
- Difficulty Level: Filter courses by difficulty (e.g., Beginner).
- Price Type: Filter courses by price type (e.g., Free).
- Order By: Choose how courses are sorted (e.g., by Product Title).
- Order: Set the sorting order (e.g., Descending).
- Course IDs: Enter the IDs of the courses you want to exclude, separated by commas. For example: 201, 202, 203.
- Course Categories: Select categories to exclude all courses belonging to those categories.
- Course Tags: Choose tags to exclude courses that match those tags.
3. Course Cards #
The Course Card section in the Academy LMS Course Grid Block allows you to customize the appearance of individual course cards. This section focuses on the Category element, where you can adjust its Typography, Color, and Hover Color to match your design preferences.

Course Background:
- Set the background color or image for the course card.
