You’ll have 2 ways of Academy LMS notification addon options. Yes, you have options for Pop up and dashboard notifications with this addon.
Pre-requisites #
You need to have at least PHP version 7.4 and you must enable the GMP from PHP Settings. This add-on requires GMP enabled and an SSL Certificate on your site. Browsers need it for push notifications to work securely. Otherwise it will not work.

How to Setup and Use Academy LMS Notification Addon? #
Here are the steps of using Academy LMS notification addon.
Step 1: Activate Academy LMS #
You need to Install and Activate the Academy LMS plugin.
Step 2: Activate Notification Addon #
Go to Academy LMS > Add-ons to see the list of available add-ons. Search for Notification and enable the add-on.
Step 3: Notification Options Settings #
Academy LMS provides notifications for various tasks. You need to enable the one you require to successfully trigger notifications.
To do that, simply go to Academy LMS > Settings > Advanced > Notifications. You’ll see the following options:
- New instructor registration (Notify admin)
- Instructor approve (Notify instructor)
- Instructor remove (Notify instructor)
- Course enrolment (Notify the student)
- Cancel enrolment (Notify the student)
- Announcement publish (Notify all students of the course)
- Student Registration (Notify admin)
- Course Publish
- Course Complete
- Course Review
- Quiz Evaluate
- Quiz Submit
- Assignment evaluation (Notify the student)
- Assignment feedback (Notify the student)
Beside each of the options, you will see 2 toggle bar. One for the Push Notification and another for On-site Notification.
Enable the one based on your requirement.
