How to Configure Device Login Restrictions in Academy LMS?

The Device Login Restrictions feature in Academy LMS allows administrators to control how students access their accounts by limiting multiple logins from different devices. This enhances security and provides better control over account usage.

The feature includes the following functionalities:

  • Restrict users from logging into multiple devices simultaneously.
  • Define the number of devices a student can log into at once.
  • Ensure secure account access by enforcing session limits.

Enabling the Device Login Restrictions Add-on #

Navigate to the Add-ons section in the Academy LMS dashboard. Search for the “Device Login Restrictions” add-on using the search bar. Toggle the switch to activate the add-on.

Configuring Device Login Restrictions #

Once the add-on is activated, you can configure the settings:

  1. Go to the Settings section in the dashboard and locate the “Device Login Restrictions” option under the Advanced tab.
  2. Enable the “Limit Multiple Device Access” option.
  3. Set the maximum number of devices a user can log into simultaneously by specifying the desired limit (e.g., 2 devices).
  4. Save the settings to apply the changes.

  1. Go to Permalink Settings:
  • From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Settings > Permalinks.

  • Ensure that the Post name option is selected.

  • Even if the Post name is already set, click Save Changes again to refresh the settings.

Manage Devices as a Student #

Once the Device Login Restrictions add-on is enabled and the permalink settings are updated, students will have access to manage their logged-in devices.

When a student logs into their Academy LMS dashboard, they will see a new menu option called Manage Devices. Students can use this menu to view and manage their logged-in devices. They can remove unwanted devices to ensure account security.
