Combine the power of Academy LMS with BuddyBoss integration to create an engaging social learning platform. This guide will help you set up the integration and enable social features, gamification, and mobile app support.

Note: BuddyBoss is not included in the Academy LMS plan, so you need to purchase the BuddyBoss platform separately to use this integration. 

The Requirement to Set Up BuddyBoss #

In order to use BuddyBoss in Academy LMS, you will need:

• Academy LMS plugin’s latest free and pro versions need to be installed and activated.
• BuddyBoss plugin’s latest version.

When you have these installed and activated, then go to Academy LMS addon menu, look for BuddyBoss addon and turn it on.

Configure BuddyBoss #

Now move to the component area from the BuddyBoss dashboard. Make sure you have activated the Social Group component. The other component is not required to use BuddyBoss with Academy LMS, so use those as per your needs.

Then go to Groups menu and click on New Group button. 

Here set a name for the group and a descriptive description, then hit the publish button. 

Next, after your group creation, a new option will open in this window. Here you need to set all the triggers you want to send for this group and save changes to apply the effect.

Integrating BuddyBoss Group to Academy LMS Courses #

To integrate BuddyBoss group in Academy LMS courses, open the course you want to add a group to. Go to the course settings area. And Click on the BuddyBoss button. Then you enable the BuddyBoss group activity feed, search groups, and add groups into the course. You can create and add as many groups as you want.

Next update the course to apply these changes.

Test the Integration #

To test this, let’s complete a course where the BuddyBoss group is enabled.

Now, if you go to BuddyBoss’s activity menu, you can find a user who has completed a course, with the finishing date and the student name.

Then go to the group menu and view the group there are also you can see a post that a student has been completed a course.
