The Setup Wizard walks you through the first choices for your Academy LMS site. It takes about two minutes. You pick your business type, set your pages, and decide how you will take payments.
The first screen welcomes you and shows a preview of what Academy LMS can do. Read the short notice at the bottom, then press Proceed to next step. If you prefer to skip, press Skip this step. Both buttons take you to the next screen.
Click What we collect? to see what data is shared. It is limited to your site URL, plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version, and admin email. No student or payment data is included.
Choose your business type
This step decides how many instructors your site will have. Pick the card that matches your plan, then press Next.
Individual: You are the only instructor. Choose this if you teach your own courses.
Marketplace: Many instructors can create courses and earn from them. Choosing this turns on the Multi Instructor add-on.
General settings
Here you choose where students go to see their dashboard and how they sign in. Both settings can be changed later in Academy → Settings → General.
Dashboard Page: Pick the WordPress page that shows the student dashboard.
Enable Academy Login: Turn this on to use the Academy login form instead of the default WordPress login page.
Roles & access
This step sets up the pages and permissions for instructors and students. Choose the registration page for each group, then turn on the options you want.

To sell courses, you need a payment plugin. The wizard offers StoreEngine, which is made by the Academy LMS team and built to work with Academy LMS. Free courses work without it.
