Easy Content Manager (ECM) lets you add your own fields and taxonomies to courses. Use it when the built-in course fields aren’t enough, for example to add a “Course Code” field or group courses by “Department”.
Install ECM
Install and activate Easy Content Manager. You can also start from Academy LMS → Settings → Custom Fields and click Install Easy Content Manager.
Add a taxonomy to courses
A taxonomy is a way to group courses, like categories and tags.
1.In ECM, go to Taxonomies and click Add New Taxonomy.
2.Enter the labels and the slug.
3.Under Post Type, choose Academy Courses.
4.Save.
The taxonomy now appears in the course editor.
Add custom fields to courses
1.In ECM, go to Field Groups and click Add Field Group.
2.Add your fields. There are more than 35 field types.
3.In the group’s rules, set Post Type equal to Academy Courses.
4.Save.
The fields now appear in the course editor, ready to fill in for each course.
