The Course Preview feature in Academy LMS allows students to access specific lessons without enrolling in a course. This can help potential learners get a sneak peek into the course content before committing to enrollment. Follow the steps below to enable and configure this feature.

Step 1: Activate the Course Preview Addon #

To begin using the Course Preview feature, you need to activate the corresponding addon:

Navigate to the Academy LMS → Addons menu. Locate the Course Preview addon in the list of available addons. Turn on the addon by toggling the switch or clicking the activate button.

Step 2: Configure the Course Preview Option for Specific Lessons #

Once the Course Preview addon is activated, you can enable preview mode for individual lessons:

Go to the Academy LMS dashboard Courses. Select the course containing the lesson you want to set as a preview.

In the Lesson Settings section, locate the Lesson Preview option. Turn on the Lesson Preview option by toggling the switch. Update the settings for the lesson.

The selected lesson is now available for students to view directly from the course page without enrolling in the course.

Step 3: How the Course Preview Works #

When the Course Preview feature is enabled for a lesson. The preview lesson will be accessible directly from the course page. Students can view the content without enrolling, providing them with a preview of what the course offers.

Below is an example of how a lesson looks to students when the Course Preview option is enabled:

Students will see a Preview label or button next to the lesson on the course page. Clicking the button will open the lesson content, giving them a firsthand experience of the course material.
