How to Integrate Academy LMS with FluentCommunity?

Integrating Academy LMS with FluentCommunity allows you to create a seamless learning and community experience on your WordPress site. With this integration, you can engage students, foster discussions, and build a thriving learning community around your courses. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of connecting Academy LMS with FluentCommunity, ensuring a smooth setup for enhanced interaction and student engagement.

Prerequisites #

Before using this integration, ensure you have the following installed and activated:

  • Academy LMS (Free and Pro) version 2.7.0 or above
  • FluentCommunity WordPress Plugin (Latest Version)

Creating Spaces in FluentCommunity #

To create a space in FluentCommunity, follow these steps:

  1. Open the FluentCommunity portal and navigate to the Spaces section from the menu.
  2. Click on Create New Space.

  1. Choose a space type from the available options: Discussion Space or Course Space.

  2. Finally, click on the Create button.

Your FluentCommunity space has now been successfully created.

Connecting FluentCommunity with Academy LMS Courses #

To connect FluentCommunity with Academy LMS courses, follow these steps:

1. Enable FluentCommunity Addon #

First, ensure you have enabled the FluentCommunity addon from the Academy LMS Addon section.

2. Configure Course Settings #

  1. Open the course in which you want to integrate FluentCommunity.
  2. Scroll down to the Course Settings area.
  3. Locate the FluentCommunity option.
  4. Toggle on the Enable FluentCommunity Feed.
    • Navigate to Course Settings > Fluent Community tab in your Academy LMS dashboard.
    • Toggle the Enable Fluent Community Feed switch to activate activity sharing.

3. Select Events for Activity Sharing #

  1. Under Selected Events, choose the course activities that should be pushed to FluentCommunity.
  2. Available options include:
    • Course Enrollment
    • Course Completion
    • Course Announcements
    • Question & Answer
    • Any other relevant activities you want to include
  3. Check the boxes for the events you want to share.

4. Choose FluentCommunity Space #

  1. Under Fluent Community Space ID, select the specific space (e.g., “LMS Lounge”) where the course activities will be posted.

5. Activity Posting #

Once a student performs any of the selected activities in the course, a post will automatically be shared in the designated FluentCommunity space.
